For enthusiasts, storing their classic or weekend vehicle is part of enjoying their hobby.  Storing a motor vehicle is always a challenge due to parasitic or natural depletion of battery capacity.  Both late and classic vehicles have issues with maintaining battery charge when they are not driven regularly.

The traditional method of connecting a trickle charger to a battery poses some issues.  The cables from the charger to the battery can prevent the hood or trunk from closing completely.  Also, if a vehicle is moved inadvertently with the cables still attached to the charger, it could cause damage to the vehicle and its surroundings.

Werks Gruppe’s ChargeSafe Magnetic Charger Adapter provides a quick connect and disconnect method for any trickle charger.  MCA will replace the traditional push and pull connector to a self aligning magnetic connection.  Installation can be done so the hood or trunk can remain closed and the magnet will disengage if the car is moved with the charger still connected.

The kit includes the battery connection cable with magnetic receiver and charger side adapter to mate with the receiver.

Features

• Housing made out of durable ABS plastic material and water resistant to withstand outside elements.

• Battery side connector (BSC) has a 5 feet paired wire with ring terminals and fuse holder in-line for short circuit protection. May be lengthened with the same 16 gauge wire pair or larger with a proper connector.

• BSC has a rubber cover to protect terminals from outside weather conditions.

• BSC has a universal mounting bracket to install on the car with adhesive or screws.  Note: Custom mounting brackets may be necessary for some applications.

• Charger side connector (CSC) has a 4 feet pair wired with SAE universal connector which can be adapted to any aftermarket charger    

• CSC has a rubber cover to protect terminals when not in use.

• When CSC is connected to the BSC, the LED will be lit to indicate proper connection.  Your aftermarket trickle charger will also indicate proper charging sequence.

• Self-aligning magnetic will draw in the connector as it gets close. This will let you connect properly just by feel.
